Digital Guides: a qualified trainer in every pocket.
We took the 3D procedures built for Aurizon’s VR driver training and turned them into step-by-step guides on desktop and iPad, so crews can learn, practise and check a procedure wherever the work is.

The moment that mattered
Manuals don’t travel well.
Rail operations depend on complex procedures done safely and the same way every time. Printed manuals, PDFs and static SOPs are hard to interpret, slow to update and rarely at hand when and where they’re needed.
What we built
The VR investment, extended beyond the headset.
Digital Guides reuse the high-quality 3D content already built for Aurizon’s immersive driver training, so procedural training reaches desktop and iPad, in the field or on the go.
They sit between static documents and full VR: a scalable, cost-effective way to support safety-critical procedures.
How it works
Guided, Practice, Assessment
Follow a procedure, attempt it, then show you know it, at your own pace.
Reused 3D assets
The same visuals and steps as the VR training, so production is faster and every detail matches.
Accessible anywhere
Desktop and iPad, no VR hardware, for fieldwork, refreshers and learning at the moment of need.
Support for daily work
Structured step-by-step guidance for new team members and anyone refreshing a task.
Easier compliance
Guides stay aligned with real procedures, so compliance is easier to show and audit.
Rapid updates
A modular structure means fast changes when equipment, regulations or processes change.

What changed
Faster onboarding, fewer errors.
Reusing immersive training assets in a flexible 2D format has made learning faster and more accessible, reduced errors, and supported safer, more consistent performance across rail operations, without anyone stepping into a classroom.
“It’s like having a qualified trainer in your pocket, available any time, anywhere, with a repeat button.”Technical Trainer, Aurizon
